VOLUNTARY NIGHT NURSES MEAN NO ONE HAS TO DIE ALONE

icon-check.png No one should have to die alone, which is why voluntary night nurses in the Red Cross sit with the dying when nursing staff and relatives are unable to. The idea for this service originated on the Island of Bornholm in 2004 and has spread throughout Denmark.

CITIZENS AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION INJECT LIFE INTO FORMER MILITARY TRAINING AREA

icon-check.png In Randers a close partnership between a public housing organisation, the municipality, Randers Production School and the Danish Nature Agency developed a vulnerable nature area, creating new learning environments and enhancing a nearby residential area. Local residents and voluntary organisations played a key role in the process, which was based on citizen involvement and co-creation.
